BUNDOCK STREET CLINIC IS A SPECIALIST MEDICAL/ALLIED HEALTH PRACTICE THAT PROVIDES A UNIQUE SERVICE TO BOTH MENTAL HEALTH AND PODIATRY PATIENTS.

Mental Health

Bundock Street Clinic includes a mental health clinic with a team of mental health professionals who provide comprehensive
evidence-based care.

Led by Associate Professor Dr Satish Karunakaran, the expert mental health team can provide a holistic service, operating under a philosophy of 'shared care' with the patient's general practitioner.

We attend to appropriate risk management as per current practice guidelines and advice, referring General Practitioners carefully on such matters. We do report to the associated General Practitioners about every patient referred to us.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

We have two doctors on hand who specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of PTSD, with many years of experience in the field. Following a comprehensive assessment of your emotional needs, our doctors aim to provide practical advice and support to all sufferers of the disorder.

Our clinic’s PTSD specialists are available for all sufferers of the disorder, with a particular focus on members of the Defence Force. We also recognise that PTSD does not just affect the person with the disorder, but their loved ones as well. For this reason, we offer support to patient families
as well.

Pain Management

The specialists at Bundock Street Clinic offer support and guidance to chronic pain sufferers. Dealing with chronic pain can be demanding on your body, as well as your mental health. We aim to help people who are dealing with the emotional ups and downs of chronic pain. Our support system is structured and friendly, offering a holistic approach to pain management.

The strength of your family’s bond can be disrupted by anxiety, stress, absences and conflict. At Bundock Street Clinic, we aim to help you improve communication and resolve conflict as a family. Our social worker has many years of experience dealing with relationship or grief issues and can identify patterns in relationships.

When you seek family therapy at Bundock Street Clinic, you can rest assured you will be treated in a respectful and non-judgemental manner. Our staff are committed to making your home environment more supportive and functional, for you and your family.

Our clinic’s mental health division aims to make a difference to the lives of those people who are suffering from mental illness. As we work closely with each patient’s GP, we are able to provide comprehensive evidence-based care.

Bundock Street Clinic staff are outcome-focused, but we aim to foster a positive environment through our treatment of our clients and by assuring their privacy.
